1. An Elephant is buried somewhere in Mississauga : In 1912, A.W. Miles, a Toronto undertaker a country private zoo and home were established in Mimico, but very soon it was forced to relocate in Miles Park Farm which was just west of that what is now Erindale. Out of different animals, Tootsie a Burmese elephant was one of the most popular animal.
On 14th February, 1943, a fire struck into the farm and 70 animals along Tootsie were killed. Tootsie bone are still presently buried in the property, perhaps in the modern Brookmede Park.

A Japnese Park is there in Mississauga : For those who are not familiar with Mississauga, any of the resident of Mississauga can tell that Kariya Park is a very beautiful spot which is totally covered in cherry blossom trees which get bloom in the Spring. 5. TL Kennedy School has bomb shelter : Since TL Kennedy was built just after World War II in year 1953, it has a bomb shelter which is located in basement near office. It was mandatory for those schools that have a bomb shelters. Then it turned in a rifle range in 50’s and in 80’s once again this transformed in a football storage room.
6. Hazel McCallion was world?s oldest Mayor : Before completing political career in year 2014, Hazel McCallion, Mississauga’s mayor was world’s oldest mayor. Hazel served as a mayor for 36 years until age of 93.
