1. Daniel-Johnson Dam: Daniel-Johnson Dam formerly is known as Manic-5, it is a multiple-arch buttress dam which is located on the Manicouagan River and creates an annular Manicouagan Reservoir.
This dam is composed of 13 arches and 14 buttresses and is around 214 km north of Baie-Comeau. This beautiful dam was constructed between years 1959 & 1970 for the purpose of hydroelectric power production. This Daniel-Johnson Dam supplies water to the Manic-5-PA and Manic-5 power houses with capacity of 2,596 MW. The dam is 1,314 m long, 214 m tall and contains nearly 2,200,000 m3 of concrete that makes this dam one of the largest dam in the world.
2. Boise de la Pointe St Gilles: Boise de la Pointe St Gilles is situated in the heart of the city of Baie-Comeau. This Pointe St-Gilles offers 11 kilometers of trails and is dotted with small culverts, Lafontaine fables, wood panels pyrogravés, sculptures and stops.
